Greggersen Heritage

Family business since 1924

Inventiveness

What began as a small repair shop for welding equipment soon evolved into a place for practical inventions, thanks to the craftsmanship and ideas of skilled locksmith Hans Greggersen.

In 1928, his ingenuity led to the Oxy-fuel Hole Cutting Machine – a clever design that gained not only local recognition but also significant international interest. The machine was patented and manufactured under license in many countries in the following years.

To this day, the story of Hans Greggersen reminds us how much a single individual can achieve with talent, drive and creativity, and how one idea can become the foundation for an entire company.

The second generation

Karl-Heinz Greggersen supported the family business from an early age and, following his training as a precision mechanic, brought fresh energy and craftsmanship to the company from 1949.

In 1958, Karl-Heinz and his wife Anni took over responsibility for Greggersen after the unexpected loss of his father. Despite tough economic times and a young family, they mastered this phase together. Anni was not only a reliable support, but also shaped the company's survival with her dedication and resolve.

Through their unity, Karl-Heinz and Anni laid the foundation for the successful development of the family business for future generations.

The third generation

Since the 1990s, the third generation with Thomas and Wolfgang Greggersen has led the company into a phase of steady growth and diverse further development.

With a clear understanding of global markets and a sense for contemporary developments, they and a strong team have helped establish Greggersen as an internationally recognised brand.

To this day, the third generation shapes the company through a balanced blend of tradition and forward-looking thought. The ability to adapt flexibly to changing market conditions has repeatedly enabled us as a company to provide new impetus and actively shape our industry.

"The fourth generation"

In 2012, Constantin, the eldest son of Thomas Greggersen, also followed the family calling and joined the company as the fourth generation.

His expertise as a master precision mechanic has since enriched our product development, providing new impulses and innovative approaches, always with the aim of ensuring and enhancing our high quality standards.

Alongside a dedicated circle of long-standing employees, Constantin actively shapes the company’s evolution. Within this atmosphere of trust, a collaborative partnership flourishes, where diverse perspectives converge to shape the future of our business together.
